Point Introduction
"Ode to the Children’s Tree" is a wooden installation artwork adorned with Indigenous totems.
A wondrous tree of ten thousand years, originating from Nanying; treasured by the imperial family, passed down through the ages.
Through his efforts in foreign aid, the common people benefited; graced with this precious tree, its roots took hold in Penglai.
At this Asia-Pacific gathering, writers join forces; drawing on children’s hearts, they seek the good of society.
Talented artisans were entrusted with the wood to carve the Children’s Trees; displayed side by side, one resembles a dragon.
A dragon soars in the heavens, while the other resembles a tiger; a tiger lurks beneath the earth—the masterful handiwork of a great artisan.
Rooted in Dongtai, a wondrous sight and wondrous trees; boldly serving as the town’s cornerstone, this serves as a memorial.
